Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, and Jupiter are giant planets. Another fascinating thing about our solar system is that our planets also have moons. Our moon is our natural satellite.

Apart from planets and moons, there are satellites, asteroids, and comets also present in our solar system. Pluto was also considered done of the planet earlier and we had nine planets. Later Pluto was put under the category of dwarf planets and we were left with 8 planets in our solar system.

The latest mission was the launch of the James web telescope which is a descendent of the Hubble telescope. Now we will be able to know more about our solar system and nearby galaxies. There are millions of stars and planets in our Milky Way galaxy.

We also have black holes, pulsar stars, and nebulas. In the vast universe, our solar system is very small with 8 planets and just one planet where life is existing.

10 Lines on Solar System

Mercury

Mercury is the smallest planet in our solar system and it is also the closest to the sun.  There are impact craters and rings present on the surface of mercury. Mercury is close to the sun and this is why it has hot temperature.

In the daytime, it can go up to 450 degrees Celsius and there is freezing cold in night.  Mercury is not having any moon-like earth.  It appears as a small dot in front of the sun when we see through a telescope.

Venus

After mercury comes the planet Venus in our solar system.  The unique thing about Venus is that it is the hottest planet though mercury is the closest to the sun. Venus atmosphere traps inside its environment and this creates toxic atmosphere.

Form earth Venus is easily visible as the blithest star in the sky.  Venus is having some similar things to our own planet such as it has an iron core and silicate layer. There are many volcanoes on the planet Venus and it is small with no moon.

Earth

The third planet in our solar system is earth and is the inner planet. Earth is the only planet where water is present in all the forms like gas, liquid and solid-state. Life is only present on earth in our solar system as we know it till now.

Our atmosphere is made of oxygen and nitrogen.  We have different species of flora and fauna on our planet.  Humans are evolving on the planet. Earth has its own natural satellite which is a moon.

Mars

Mars is the 4th planet in our solar system and is known as the Red planet. The soil on mars is made from iron and due to rusting the surface of the mars is red. Mars is a cold planet and its geological features are much alike earth.

There are many missions sent on mars because it might be the next planet where humans might build human colonies. Mars has two moons and scientists have also found ice caps on the planet which means water to survive.

Jupiter

Jupiter is considered one of the most beautiful and the largest planet in our solar system.  Jupiter also has rings made of ice and dirt. Jupiter is totally made of gas hence gaseous planet. It is not having any solid surface.

Another popular thing is the red giant spot on Jupiter which is a storm raging for hundreds of years. Jupiter protects the earth from the asteroids coming towards it. Jupiter is having 79 natural satellites.

Saturn

Saturn is another gaseous planet of our solar system and it also has rings. Its atmosphere consists of helium and hydrogen and is not having any solid surface like Jupiter. There are 62 moons revolving around Saturn which are made from ice.

Uranus

Uranus is the7th planet of our solar system and is the giant planet that is present in the inhabitable zone.  Uranus core is colder as compared to other gas giants. The color of the planet is tinting blue and is colder than other planets. Uranus is having 27 moons.

Neptune

Neptune is a gas giant the last planet of our solar system and is the coldest. Uranus and Neptune are same in size but are more dense and massive. Neptune planet has the strongest winds.  There are 14 moons around Neptune.

There are many interesting things yet to know by humanity about our solar system and galaxies.  As technology will advance more interesting facts will come out.
