John Dean is an American lawyer, who served as White House Counsel from 1970 to 1973 during the administration of U.S Pres. Richard M. Nixon. He is known for his role in the conspiracy of the Watergate Scandal and his following testimony to Congress as a witness.
His guilty appeal to a single crime in exchange for becoming a main witness for the prosecution eventually resulted in a decreased sentence, which he worked at Fort Holabird outside Baltimore, Maryland. He was disbarred after his plea.
