In the year 1600 British rulers came to India for the purpose of doing business under the name of the East India Company. They were to trade cotton, tea, and silk but their motive was cruel which soon came up to the surface and they made the entire country their slaves.

When they wickedly took control of the country they started harassing the Indians. When the cruelty on Indians started the voices started rising against the cruel rulers of the British.

The first voice was the revolt of 1857 when Indians got fed up with the British dictatorship and Indians decided to end it. Mangal Pandey was the first Indian soldier who took a stand in the year 1857 and this was the period when the struggles for freedom started. Some serious challenges were posed against the British at this time. Not only the soldiers but even the common citizens participated in it. The second brave name that fought against British rule was the Rani Jhansi bai. Her forces were furious and glorious Laxmi bai fought like a tigress against the British. She was so furious that even the Britishers used to fear her bravery.

We also know about the bravery and fights of great Rani Laxmi Bai. India is definitely a brave country. Common Indians who were not even that educated at that time stood hand in hand with each other and today we enjoy freedom because of their bravery and sacrifices.  All the Sikhs, Muslims, and Hindus along with the brave souls of India stood against the British rule and eliminated their rule once forever from our soil.

1857 revolution was then controlled by the British for over one year which started on 10th May 1857 and ended on 20th June 1858 in Gwalior. When the revolution began in the year 1857 it definitely started fading away. One movement after another was initiated by the political leaders and brave sons of India.  All these movements began shielding India and steered the direction towards freedom.

Another major movement was the civil disobedience movement which was a British monopoly on salt. This movement was initiated by Gandhi and it is popularly known as the famous Dandi March.  Meanwhile, Bhagat sing that is the tiger of India was hanged at the age of 23 to stand against the Britishers. Bhagat Singh was moved by the death of Lala Lajpat Rai after which he decided to free India from British rule.

Bhagat Singh fought many secret wars and he also avenged Lala Lajpat Rai by killing John Sanders. Sukhdev and Rajguru Bhagat Singh were hanged after which the Quit India movement started in the year 1942.
