My holiday A visit to Uttarakhand
I am a working person. And I love holidays very much. It was the month of June when I went on a holiday with my friends. I took off for 3 to 4 days from my office as I needed a break to refresh my mind and body. So, we decided to go on a holiday and planned to visit Uttarakhand. And it was the best holiday for me and my friends.
I and my friends started our journey from Chandigarh around 4 o’clock in the morning. I was so excited that I could not sleep well last night before going on a holiday. In a middle way, we had our breakfast and then again rush to our destination. We reached our destination by 10 o’clock in the morning.
After reaching our destination, we decided to book a hotel for us so that we could feel relaxed and get rid of tiredness. So, we did the same thing. I went with one of my friends to start looking for a hotel. My remaining friends were enjoying themselves at the riverside.
Uttarakhand is a famous tourist destination, where people from different parts of the country come and explore the religious and scenic beauty of the place. Here, it is surrounded by a beautiful range of Himalayan Mountains, flowing the Ganges across many cities of Uttarakhand. It was my plan to visit this place on a holiday.
So, I and my friend found an affordable and comfortable hotel to stay in. We booked and head towards the riverside, where my other friends were present. We spend some time at the riverside and decided to go to a hotel so that we could take some rest.
After an hour, we had our lunch and planned to go outside. It was raining outside, which made the outer view more fascinating and beautiful. I love the natural beauty of mountains, especially in the rainy season. It was a perfect view to enjoy.
Now, we went to see some popular sightseeing places in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. There are many religious temples located in Rishikesh, where we went and took the blessings of many gods and goddesses. There is a popular Lord Shiva statue in the Ganga River, where the Aarti is being done by priests on a daily basis.
The Aarti on the riverside is itself a mesmerizing scene to watch. It gives a lot of peace to our inner souls. We all visited all the sightseeing places in the rain such as Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, etc. This is what we enjoyed a lot. Around 10 o’clock in the night, we came to our hotel after having dinner. We were too tired. And then we slept.
How I Spent My Holiday Essay 200 Words
On the next day, I woke up early in the morning and did my daily chores. I wanted to spend some time alone by the riverside. So, I went there and took bath in the holy river of the Ganges. And after taking bath, I felt very lucky and it was an amazing experience for me. After that, I came back to my hotel. Till then, my friends woke up and took bath.
We stayed in Rishikesh for 2 days and did many interesting things. River rafting was one of them. We had a great and memorable experience while doing river rafting. Of course, I was scared in the beginning. But my fears were all gone once I entered the boat.
On the 3rd day of my holiday, we decided to visit Robbers Cave, which is located in Dehradun city, a few kilometers away from Rishikesh. And then we rushed to this place. In the meantime, we also enjoyed a beautiful waterfall, where we all took bath. We spent some time there and rushed to Robbers Cave.
But unfortunately, we were not able to get entry into this natural cave because of the heavy rainfall. It made us feel bad. But we took it lightly. After that, we had some evening snacks and decided to go back to our place. We returned to Chandigarh around 11 o’clock at the night.
It was a perfect holiday trip for me as I went with my friends. It took me away from stressed life for some time. I will never forget this experience of visiting Uttarakhand as it is one of the most elegant and peaceful travel destinations to visit, especially in the month of June and July.
Why holidays are important?
According to my point of view, holidays are an important part of our lives. Holidays work as a stress-buster for us. The daily routine of life needs some break to get relaxed. This is how holidays are an ideal option. Holidays are always welcomed and awaited by all. By going on holidays, we get some inner peace and can cherish the memories of all those well-spent days for the remaining part of our lives.
A holiday can help us in spending quality time with our loved ones, strengthening our bond and relationship with them. It gives us mental peace. We can do many social activities when we are on a holiday. This is what holidays meant to me and I often plan for a holiday, it can be either a short or long holiday depending on the free time I have. In the end, I can say that a holiday to visit Uttarakhand is the best experience I ever have had in my life.
